It All Begins With an Idea.

I’m Thomas “Mako” Mangum, a cinematographer, media marketer, and U.S. Army veteran who believes in the power of storytelling to move people, shift conversations, and build community.

I spent 16 years in the Army, learning discipline, leadership, and how to stay calm under pressure. Those experiences shaped the way I create today. After retiring, I earned my Bachelor’s in Digital Cinematography and my Master’s in Marketing from Full Sail University, graduating with a 3.5 GPA and induction into NSCS.

While at Full Sail, I produced my award-winning short film Compulsive Diver, which later streamed on Amazon Prime. That project taught me that stories aren’t just entertainment — they’re bridges. They connect people to experiences they’ve never lived but deeply understand.

Today, I use media to shine a light on real people, real issues, and real communities. Whether I’m behind a camera, building a brand strategy, or producing a documentary, my goal is the same: create work that feels honest, human, and impactful.
